baby walker - pros and cons

Recently i saw the TV program where there were told that baby walker is dangerous for baby's development, but i know many families who used them with their kids and they learnt how to walk very early and i can not see any defect on their legs now when they became older. So, how do you think - does baby walker really help kids to walk earlier and healthy for kids or i it dangerous as it was told by a doctor at that TV program?

Nowadays doctors may say everything they want, and they consider that it is useful advice, or something that may help you in upbringing a child. Of course, they may be quite right, but I don't think that baby walker may cause a very serious problem with your child, I mean mostly with his/her legs. As for me, it is very nice way of practising his/her walking steps.

Using baby walkers really

Using baby walkers really lighten the life of parents. The child is happy because he can move all over the house and don't need your help, parents are happy because they have free hands and 20 minutes relax. But as always every thing can be watched from different points of view and has cons and pros. We started using the babywalkers when our honey was 6 months old , she really loved them first it was only for a few minutes and at the age of 9 months it was like 10-20 minutes but no longer. As the result she started walking herself when she was almost 11 months. I think this happened bacause of the baby walkes. But, the main thing we have no problems with health and feet, no dysplasia. They are not good for those children who have dysplasia and pinched nerves. Nevertheless before using them consult the pediatritian and orthopaedist.enlightened Only these doctors can tell what is the condition of your child)

Hello, Chris, it is a pleasure to see you here and read all of the comments, and actually if to tell you the truth, I am here not to help you... yeah! you may be offended, but as a matter of fact, I would rather be interested just to be here and read all of the comments which you will receive sooner or later from all followers. So, basically, to speak about the whole thing I have for you, it is pretty cool to hear the stuff from the real adult and mature life, because the birth of the baby in my understanding it is the step full of the responsibility and it will be hard to deny that I am not ready to share the life with the child and husband for now... would like to hear advice.

Hello guys. I do not know how others got there, but we had baby walkers, and nothing good came of it. It became even worse. I also thought they would help my little son learn to walk faster, he just developed with a delay and I made this decision. I made the wrong decision. He began to put his feet even worse, honestly. Children's walkers lasted only two weeks, then I got rid of them, and my son learned to walk himself, slowly and uncertainly of course, but himself. I'm against baby walkers !!!
